Martha Window Panels

These are the set of window treatments that we bought for our bedroom. We used to have the wooden box type rods that holds the curtain but we got rid of it and replaced it with this Umbra drapery rod set.
Just these set of rods and  panels, it cost  almost 200 bucks.  It's worth it though because we achieved the light and  fresh look that we were looking for in our bedroom.  You can see how it looks like over here.
THe Martha Window panels  are expensive but I love it's material  coz it's thick.  It's a simple design but it brings elegance in a room.

Recital Hall

Upon the recommendation of the music teacher at my children's school, we let our  daughter tried at the music program at one of the   accredited schools  for music   in PA.  I was hesitant at first because of the cost and that it would take our weekends together since classes are only offered on Saturdays.  But the teacher  is right because it would open a much larger opportunity for the little Miss in exploring her pursuit in music.  It's kind of like an excellent reason 7 upgrade for a newbie like my daughter.  I hope and pray that this would be  materialized with no problem.  Below is a shot I took outside of the recital hall when we were at the University last Saturday.

Attack Force Set

This is one of the gifts that we bought for our son's birthday last month. We found this at Hobby Lobby and our son just got mersmerized by it.
I think the bucket set cost $9.99.  It is a set of soldiers and  other  paraphernalia that  soldiers used when  they go on a mission.
These is a kind of  toys I don't like because they are so small.  Another set to clutter the house and more pieces for me to  pick up on the floor.  So far, the kids has been very responsible to  put it away after they play with it.

Mary Pappert School of Music

Our daughter was evaluated for her music ability at  Doquesne University last Saturday and she was very excited.  She won't be starting till September because she still has to finish this season at her  current  piano teacher here in the area. She would be participating her second recital from  Torrence Music.  It is kind of sad that she would be leaving her current teacher because she did a [phenomenal job in teaching our daughter.   There were so many students at the university when we went there.  I wonder if those  who take  lesson for saxophone ever buy their saxophones at guitar center?  Who knows but I am super excited for the new adventure that my daughter will come to face soon.
I took a photo of the three inn front of the Mary Pappert School of Music at Doquesne University.

Rafaela Boots for $8.89

Spring is just around the corner and a lot of Winter products are on sale. I snugged this boots for only $8.89. Well, it wasnt exactly that cheap but because I have accumulated points through Shop Your Way Rewards program from Sears and Kmart, I was able to used $16 worth of points, hence the $8.89.

I told my husband that even if this boots only last for a month, it is worth it. Aside from the price, I love that it is very light and I also like the design. My husband was not crazy about this one but I told him that I just need something that I can use when I walk to and from school to our house. I am using my good boots and it is getting tore up by the snow, so this one is perfect.  This Rafaela Boots from Canyon River Blues is very comfortable to walk with.

Where to get Professional Tools for Your Backyard Project

So, you’ve got a backyard project in mind, but haven’t got the tools? No worries. There are several different places that specialize in the tools you are going to need. Luckily, hard-ware stores aren’t scarce, so there are plenty of places for you to choose from. There are also large chain stores that stock almost anything you could possibly need.

Bunnings Warehouse

This place has basically anything that you will need for a backyard project. From gardening supplies to building tools, they stock everything under the sun. If you haven’t got your project completely planned out, it could be a good idea to have a browse before you set any of your plans in stone. See what’s available and exactly how much work it’s going to take. This can help you to plan the project and be more prepared when commencing time comes around.
Bunnings can be a difficult place to maneuver, so have a look online, or at some of their catalogs first. This way, you won’t have to walk down ten isles before you find what you’re looking for. If you know exactly what product you’re after, you can talk to the staff and they’ll point you in the right direction.

If by any chance you can’t find what you’re looking for, try other large stores like Masters or Mitre 10.

Local Hardware

It’s always nice to shop locally, so it’s definitely worth checking out your local hard ware shop. They’re sure to be extremely helpful and may even have some tips about your backyard project. If they don’t have what you need, the chances are that they may be able to order it in for you, or at least point you in the right direction. Don’t rule this out even though there are larger stores that at first may appear cheaper. There might be a small hardware somewhere close by that specializes in exactly what you’re looking for.

Nurseries

If you’re backyard project involves some gardening, make sure you browse around at different nurseries – don’t make an immediate decision. After some time looking, you may come across something you couldn’t find anywhere else. And really, there may be a plant there that changes your project plans entirely. Shop around locally, go to some rural plantations and take a trip out of town to see what you can find.
It’s easy enough to find the tools you’re going to need for your backyard project. The hardest thing is knowing exactly what it is that you are going to need to buy. That’s why it’s a good idea to think about things long and hard before you make the trip. Make sure that you have a checklist of supplies to take with you. This way the staff can help you find everything that you need, and you don’t need to try and explain yourself when you may not really have any idea what you are after. Stock up on basic things such as nuts, bolts and welding supplies.

Pampered Paws

I bought  this Pampered Paws grooming  gloves  for my fur babies.  It is perfect for grooming, bathing, and fur removal.  The pad has bristles  that you can use for detangling their hair and also good for massaging them even when their hair is wet.
You can use the bristle pad  for deep cleaning or soft fabric side for easy lathering.  What I like is that, you can use the bristle pad  to remove excess pet hair from carpets and furniture.
The price is   so affordable and your pets will surely love the pampering.

Industrial Revolution

My husband's hometown used to be a small but significant part of the industrial revolution. Things were great back when the steel industry was booming. The local communities were similar to the wholesome towns portrayed on television back then. Doors didn't have to be locked, kids could play outside without continuous adult supervision, and the nightly news didn't shock and alarm.

When industry moved out, local leaders decided it would be a great idea to legalize gambling and open casinos to stimulate the economy. Many warned of the dangers but the need to boost employment outweighed the risk.

The trouble followed in just a few short years. Suddenly out peaceful communities were plagued with drug abuse and heavy crime. Billboards that used to have happy messages were riddled with hotlines catered to gambling addiction, drug addiction, and domestic violence.

It wasn't long until these problems starting appearing on the doorsteps of my husband's family. Several members of his family were suffering with alcoholism and drug addiction. They were lost souls crying out for help. They all turned to rehab centers to get their lives back on track. Some achieved success and managed to regain control of their lives while others were only able to find freedom in death.

These are some important things to look out for when dealing with a family member with addiction problem:
  • Types of addiction conditions.
  • Signs and Sources of addiction.
  • Dangers and Risks from addiction.
  • Look for some drug addiction treatment centers like the Advanced Health and Education
Advance Health and Education is one of the new jersey alcohol treatment centers  that provides substance abuse rehabilitation. You can check out the full details by visiting their website. It is a must that any kind of addiction should be treated immediately to avoid further harm. It is a must to remember that when dealing with any type of addiction, family support plays a major role. Sometimes, family tend to ignore the signs that their love one is getting addicted to something that's why it gets out of hand. The role of the parents is very crucial when their child is growing up. It is not a bad idea to get to know who they hang out with, who their friends are, in that way, you will have the idea of how your children is when they are out of your sight.

Valentine's Gift #Shark's Rotator Pro Lift Away Vacuum

Hubby was not content of the  roses he got me for Valentine's day so he said "How about I get you a new Vacuum?"  He knows that our   vacuum is getting old so he figured a new one us dye.  I did not object since that is something we could use at home.
Here's a complete spec of this vacuum.

Convenient Canister

Optional caddy accessory upgrade gives you the freedom to roll the pod along while keeping cleaning tools close by, freeing up your hands to make vacuuming quicker and easier.

Portable Lift-Away® Vacuum

Lightweight, removable canister ideal for cleaning stairs, upholstery or accessing small, hard to reach areas around your home and car.
We actually  compared  Dyson and Shark together online before we went to the store.  The reviews from different customers said that Shark works as good as the Dyson but the price is much cheaper so we went for the Shark.
It is heavier than the  old one we got and I think that it clean just the same.  The only difference is that, the Shark has a small heads and it does rotate which is a big plus.  I can clean underneath the  end tables without removing them unlike our old one that has a big  head.  Let us see how long this vacuum would last.  The Bissel Helix that we got is 3 year old already and still works good.

Microfiber Cleaning Slippers #SlipperGenie

I bought this slipper genie at Walmart the other day.  I thought that it would be a perfect  footwear in our bathroom.  It would  clean our tiles and  at the same, would be a comfortable one to wear when you get in the bathroom and after you got done showering.  This microfiber cleaning slippers rocks.  It cleans the floors while you walk, just  awesome!
What  I like  is that you just need to  slip it on your feet and it will  do the cleaning for you.  This is god for hardwood, linoleum and tile flooring. The Chenille soles provide an extra soft dusting material and are removable for cleaning in the washing machine.  I just wish that they have the other colors like the  black, pink and green. These fun new styles  appeal to my son  who got inspired t to clean the floor lol.

Guitar

I was looking at some photo albums this morning and came across this photo of my husband when we had our honeymoon in Cebu City Philippines.  We went to this music store and  looked at some beautiful guitars.  We bought one and left it at my mother's house but unfortunately, it was broken already when we came back few years ago.  It make me sad because I was planning to bring  it here.  Mama said that someone in our neighborhood borrowed it one time but got drank and  ruined it.  Hubby and I were crushed as the guitar was one  of our remembrances when we had our honeymoon and it was gone because of some irresponsible individual.

Moving on, I am so intrigued by this
jo ral bass trombone cup mute at WWBW that I see. I have never seen one like this before.  Oh boy, I have been thinking, if I can save up some money, I would like to buy my husband a bass so he could play again.

Ayr Saline Nasal Gel

Whenever winter kicks in and the heater starts running, my nose is so dry that it starts bleeding.  Ayr Saline Nasal Gel is what I like using.  My husband like the nasal spray but I am not comfortable with it.  I prefer putting this gel in a cute tip and rub it inside my nose.
How about you, what do you use  when your nose is dry?

Boiler Trouble – Is It a Faulty Flow Switch?

The New Year has come and gone, and with the recent terrible weather, suddenly your boiler has stopped working as well, right when you need it most in the winter months. You’ve had a look at all the possible reasons it could not be working and it seems that there is something wrong with the Flow Switch.

Is it definitely the Flow Switch?

The flow switch is designed to make sure that the boiler does not ignite if the system is dry or low on water; however it is also designed to detect when the ‘hot water’ tap is turned on, and to then ignite the boiler so that the water remains hot.

There are a number of things that could possibly be wrong with your boiler, it may not be the flow switch. In some cases the flow switch may not have been properly fitted on, which is causing leaks or is not allowing it to work as it should. Checking your boiler for leaks is important because there might be cracks in the casing that is causing the fault.

The central heating pressure might also be set to the wrong instructions, so check that the pressure is correct and that the central heating timer is working and set correctly as a flat battery may be the reason why your boiler is not working. Other problems include frozen condensation pipes, air in the system or corrosion, so make absolutely sure which problem you are dealing with.

However if you have checked all of the above, or they have been checked by an expert, and it doesn’t seem to be any other parts of the boiler that is causing the fault, it may be the flow switch.

Finding a Replacement

If you have an engineer over to review your situation, they will probably be able to offer you a high quality provider of spare parts should anything need replacing. Alternatively look in the yellow pages, or check online for professional guidelines on what type of replacement you need, and there are several comparison sites with helpful review on who to trust when buying replacement parts online. Some companies even offer next day delivery on all orders for a quick replacement!

Call an Expert!

If you are decidedly unsure as to what the problem is make sure to call an expert. Boilers are tricky things and can be fatal if people fiddle with them without properly knowing what they are looking for or what they are doing. Make sure you phone a professional engineer with good qualifications as a local DIY engineer may end up doing more harm than good. A professional should then review the situation with an expert eye and then can either fix the problem then and there for you, or recommend a high quality service should you need a replacement part.

There is no shame in calling an expert. You will get professional advice, and you are in fact putting yourself in more danger if you try to fix the issue yourself or if you ignore the issue. Do not hesitate and get some advice!
