If you’re remodeling your bedroom, or just wanting a walk in wardrobe, there are a number of thing to consider so that you can get full enjoyment from your new space. You want it to be perfect, and you don’t want to rush the process. Make sure that your new walk in wardrobe is absolutely perfect by following these key five things.
Make Sure it’s Not Cramped
This may seem a bit obvious. However, while you’re busy making sure that you have enough room for all of your clothes, it’s important to ensure that there is enough space for you to move around in. There’s no point in having a walk in wardrobe if it’ going to be cramped and awkward. So test how much space you will need first for it to be comfortable.
Make Sure it’s Organised
Clothing is one of those things that it truly hard to keep organised. You may have it all sorted out only to find a few weeks later that your coats are no longer hanging where they are supposed to be and your shirts are in the sock drawer. Have a think about the best way for you to keep things tidy and organised, and then build the wardrobe from these ideas.
Think About the Doors
Make sure you think about the doors of your walk in wardrobe you want them to swing out rather than in, so that they don’t take up the valuable space inside. If you build your wardrobe on the same wall as your bedroom door, it will look neater if the door is left open. This way, when you walk inside your bedroom you won’t be able to see inside the wardrobe and any clutter if there is any.
Mirrors
Consider whether or not you want a mirror inside your wardrobe. It may seem like a wonderful idea, but if there is not enough light it may end up as a wasted effort. Regardless of the lighting, the windows in your bedroom will make it much easier to see outside of the wardrobe. Remember that before you decide to take the time to install a mirror.
Clutter
If your wardrobe does end up cluttered, you want it to be easily manageable. Install drawers and storage spaces that are easy to manage so that you don’t end up with things all over the floor. The easier it is for you to put something where it is supposed to go, the more likely you are to do it.
As easy as it may seem at first, there are things that need to be considered before you go ahead with building your walk in wardrobe. Think about your personal habits as well as the space needed for it to be most comfortable. For more information about renovating your home, be sure to have a look at a Coral Homes Australia . ReplyDeleteOh, I love walk-in-closets because I want to see my clothes neatly arranged as per color and my bags too, arranged according to size! My OCD is kicking in!
ReplyDeleteI have incorporated a walk-in-closet in our dream home design and 3/4 of that is mine and 1/4 is for hubby. He doesn't have much stuff to fill his area but I do! hahaha :) I want my WIC to be cozy too with a nice couch at the corner and reading lamp so I can browse through various glam magazines. I wonder when this will happen? hahaha
