Ways to Get Thicker, Longer Hair

Do you dream about having thicker and longer hair? Are you sick of your flat and damaged roots? Most of us don’t even know how impaired our hair is until someone points it out to us, and by then it’s usually too late for a quick and simple fix. Adopting a good hair routine is a great way to get thicker, longer hair, and to create that healthy, shiny look you've been searching for. Transitions Hair can help you get the hair of your dreams, and the way to get it is not as hard as it seems.

Change The Way You Wash Your Hair

The first thing you need to do to get the thicker, longer hair you desire is to change the way you wash your hair. Washing your hair too often can cause it to dry out. Dry and brittle hair leads to breakage and can prevent it from growing thicker. Remember not to wash your hair more than three times a week, and stay away from hot water if you can. While in the shower, you need to stimulate your scalp by massaging it, which will boost circulation and blood flow to your follicles, increasing hair growth.

Towel Dry Your Hair As Gently As You Can

Do you wonder why your hair keeps breaking after you dry it? Chances are you’re probably drying it too roughly. Use a soft towel and gently pat it dry, allowing it to air dry instead of blowing it dry.

Style Your Hair Using Natural Techniques And Products

Styling your hair using natural techniques and products is a better way to keep your hair healthy and clean. Be sure to use straighteners and curling irons sparingly, or not at all. Use natural hairsprays and gels to give your hair a chance to grow thicker and stronger.

Protect Your Hair From The Sun

It is extremely important to protect your hair from the sun and cover it while in the pool or in areas of pollution. Your hair can become seriously damaged by repeated exposure, so it is advisable to wrap it up in a scarf or swim cap to prevent exposure.

Eat More Protein Enriched Foods

Your muscles, skin, hair, nails, and even your eyes are made of protein. This means the more protein you consume, the thicker your hair will be. This doesn’t mean you need to eat an abundance of meat, but you certainly need to consume a decent amount of protein to keep your body healthier. And the healthier your body is, the thicker and longer your hair is.

Eat More Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 fatty acids are the ‘good’ fats that contribute to healthier, shinier, thicker hair and clearer skin. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in foods such as salmon, avocados, nuts, and flaxseed oil, and can be consumed through fish oil spplements.
These tips are sure-fire ways to get the thicker, longer hair that you want. Try them out today!

  5. Very good advice-too many woman use products that can actually harm hair-curling irons, hair dryers and certain shampoos. It will also help if you use a shampoo conditioner with protein complexes.

  8. Great tips! I don't wash my hair often because that is something I learned, plus I use less heat to nothing with my hair only if it is necessary. I just need to hydrate more and drink plenty of water because I do eat protein and fish, which has omega 3. :) I also learned not to rub your hair with the towel so just to pat it dry. Great article! Lovely young lady.
