Jesus is Better

I came across this image while flipping through Facebook pages.   This was posted at "Jesus is Better" page.
I wonder if the description given to Zaccheus  being short refers to his height, temper, or what?

  1. I don't know what Zaccheus being short refers to but works well for Z. Carver, ABC Wed. Team

  2. He was short of stature: Luke 19
1 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. 2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”

8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

  3. What a great description of our failings and shortcomings.
Zaccheus was a wee little man and a wee little man was he,
He climbed up in a sycamore tree for the Lord he wanted to see,
and as the Savior passed that way He looked up in the tree,
    and He said,
    Zaccheus, you come down,
for I'm going to your house today.
Boy, I haven't thought of that song for years.

  4. Zaccheus was a wee little man,

And as the Savior pass that way,
He looked up in the tree, and said
Zaccheus come down, I coming to your house today.

Learned this song in Sunday School when I was 3 or 4... Never forgot it.

  7. I'm sure by now you know that Zaccheus was a man of small stature but not in anyway insignificant.

  8. As previously mentioned, he was not a tall man. But I think the description could apply to all meanings of the word!
