I discovered that we had a mouse visiting our kitchen last week when I opened one drawer and saw a bag of garbanzos almost half empty. We immediately put our mouse trap and put pieces of bread. We did it twice, the mouse ate the bread but got away.
Our neighbor Don came to the rescue, he said that he has this super sensitive mouse trap that you just breath in it and it will go. It also has a fake cheese so he lent us three of them.
Sure enough, just last night, I was startled by the loud noise it made. The mouse came back and was trapped dead! Oh yeah baby, we finally gotcha!
I think the porch renovation is what causing the mice to get in the house. With the part of our roof line opened, they might have crawled in and made access to our house. We found a dead baby mouse in our dryer yesterday. I was doing the laundry and when I opened the dryer, the foul smell rolled out. Oh gosh, a baby mouse managed to crawl from our garden through the air duct that is connected to dryer and he was not able to get out.
It might be cruel to kill them but we have to, before they could cause big problem and affect our health. I never liked mice, it freaks me out. I screamed when I reached in the lent section of the dryer and felt those small feet, yuck.

Tanks a lot for visiting!
I am terrified of mice. Last time we had one, I had the neighbor come to take care of it and called Ehrlich the next day. Glad you caught the little bugger. Ewwwww.
rodents are dreadful, but sad that they've to die this way:(

Poor thing!
Ngeeeh, kawawa naman yung mouse. Although I hate mice, I still consider it cruel to trap them that way where they die a cruel and slow agonizing death. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
poor little mouse :`(
I don't like mice either and would have freaked out if I found one in my lint keeper.
we had a couple mice too this summer. I'm fond of putting peanut butter on the "cheese"; the mouse takes longer, and it's more likely to work.
we used the same brand of traps!
I don't think it's a slow death, if done correctly; it was pretty quick.

No, it's not slow at all. He was dead instantly!
We both have mice on the brain this week.
How can anyone be afraid of a tiny critter.
That's so sad. Live traps are more humane.
The only thing worse than having a mouse in the house is what you have to do to get rid of it. My ABC Wednesday is about Another Mouse.
