Meet George

Some of you might have read the post I  previously made at my other blog about the  good insects in our  backyard.  I have seen two  praying mantis a couple of weeks and  some grasshoppers.    The big praying mantis   did not leave at all, he is still in our garden until now.  For the first two weeks, he stayed at my  vegetable garden and now he is in our flower bed.
We  greet him everyday and Ms. Burrito gave him a name, George.
Now George is  our additional pet here at our home.  Every morning, we always look if he is still there, and he is.  The kids always greets him "Hi George."
Pray for us too George, okay?

  3. When we were growing up, we were told to keep away from these critters. They would spit in or eyes and put them out.

  10. I love these critters! I once found the nest with the tiny praying mantises hatching out. Wonderful sight. Loved seeing them get larger after each molt.

    Enjoy!
