4th of July Party

My BIL is having a party for the 4th of July at their home in Chester. They will officially opened their pool to celebrate the occasion.

e-X-otic

I saw these e-X-otic looking wild flowers outside the clinic while waiting for hubby whose paying the bill inside.
I got out from the car and took a couple of shots of it.
I hope this counts for  ABC Wednesday's letter X this week.

Badge Design By Troy

Colorful Garden Accent

I took these shots when daughter and I went for a walk at my FIL's neighborhood in Marland Heights. Isn't it so lovely?
Below is a shot I took when we visited my BIL, my SIL has these blooms in her front yard.
I forgot what she called the pink flower but I truly love it, it's gorgeous!

To the Rescue

We like to put the soccer ball inside the trampoline and our JRT Champ would jump and hit it with his nose and let it out. Sometimes, he isn't lucky especially if the ball is situated far from the entrance zip.
Here comes Mr. Burrito to the rescue.
Good job boys!

Rubber Ball

Just a random shot made by our son, Mr. Burrito. Most of the time, his shots are blurry but we keep it anyway, just like this one.

Buster

My father-in-law is turning 89 years old in a couple of months. I guess when you get to that age, you tend to be a very keen observer of everything especially nature and things that surrounds it. He was bummed out when his chipmunk visitor got crushed with a car. Then he has this rabbit that goes in his yard everyday which he named Buster.
I guess he got nailed by a cat because he doesn't come around anymore so my FIL misses all the critters that visits his lawn.

THe sun was playing peek a boo with my wife the other day. It seem like he was shy that day that he is trying to hide in the clouds.

Droplet

My wife took a photo of this droplet of water in front of our car while I'm driving to go to my Dad's house the other day.

Weirton Events

Weirton is a small city, a place where the Steel Mill boomed years ago but because of union, most of it shut down. Only a small part is operating now. Anyhow, here are some event that happened/will happen here in our small city.
A Cultural heritage celebration was held here a couple of months ago where in they showcase different cultures, products, and talents from different countries. Below are some American Indian ladies who performed traditional Indian dance.
Then we lost our water supply here, most part f Weirton did not have a water supply for almost two weeks. We only lost ours for three days. Thanks God it's back!

I bet all the stores in Weirton make good sales of water. I went to the store to get some water and most of the racks were empty already. Alrighty folks, I have to read about this summer school england. Thanks for visiting.

Sparrow's Comfort

While I was hanging out at  Dad's Back porch, I saw this sparrow comfortably sitting in an old bird's house.  I wonder what she/he is thinking?

Porta John

My kids asked us what this pink thing when we went for a walk at our neighborhood. I told them that it's sometimes called Porta John or Porta Potty. There was a construction going on at the college so they put this out there for the workers t use.
I wonder if you can get this kind of product from bidrack. I haven't explore the whole website yet but it seems that they auction many stuff at their site.

Flag Day

Today, June 14, we commemorate the day the American flag was born way back in 1777. Listen to the flag talks my friends. Source: Ads from Weirton Daily Times.

I am more than just cloth shaped into a design, I am the refuge of the world's oppressed people. I am the silent sentinel of freedom. I am the emblem of the greatest sovereign nation on earth. I am the inspiration for which the AMerican patriots gave their lives and fortunes. I have led your sons and daughters into battle from Valley Forge to the bloody ridges of Vietnam to the sand of the Persian Gulf.
I walk in silence with each of your honored dead, to their final resting place beneath the silent white crosses, row upon row.  I have flown through peace and war, strife and prosperity, and  amidst it all I have been respected..

My red stripes...
symbolize the blood spilled in defense of this glorious nation.
My White stripes..
Signifies the burning tears shed by Americans who lost  lost their sons and daughters.
My Stars...
clustered together, signify the 50 states as one, for God and country.
Old Glory... is my nickname and proudly I wave on high.
Honor me, respect me, defend me with your lives and fortunes.  Never let my enemies tear me down from my lofty position, lest I never return.  Keep alight the firs of patriotism, strive earnestly for the spirit of your republic, and I shall remain the bulwark  of peace and freedom for all mankind.
The family's two Veterans, Dad served in WW2 and Hubs served  for 20 years in the Navy.  That's the flag we bought for my FIL during the memorial day celebration last year!
