Spider on the Wall

A craft that the kindergarten students made in school.  They each have one and brought it home.  Kids in the States are very lucky  because they are  being taught of many arts/crafts at a very young age and their resources are plenty.

I am glad

I am glad that I settled down when I was about to end my career in the service. Now that I am retired, I get to spend more time with my kids and wife. I chose not to work right away because I really want to spend valuable time with them now that they are still young. When they grow up, I know that they will have their own set of friends and my wife and I will be back to being just us. I know that we haven't that much in terms of finances but the more important thing is the quality time that we devote to our family.
See how fast they have grown? That is why, we have to really spend some quality time with our kids. This is my 19th Nostalgia entry. Please click the badge below to join.

Weekend Sky Shots

We went to my niece's house last weekend for her step-daughter's birthday party. The kids favorite part of the drive along the way is the flame from the Coke Plant in Follansbee .
It was a cool but a bright sunny day.
We have chilly weather for a couple of days now. I am praying that we won't get a bad winter this year.

Snuggle

We met this cute little fella at Hanover Park when we had the parent-child meet-up for kindergarten students. Her name is snuggle.  The owner  said that she just love snuggling and cuddling all the time.

White Tailed Deers

The white tailed deers at Pittsburgh Zoo. These are the predominant deers around the area. I think that animals in the zoo are safe from dangers in the wild but they look miserable being there too.

Play Area in Lotte Mart - Nostalgia # 23

One of the many things that the kids miss in Korea is the play area in LotteMart. We usually goes there after we visit the pond and have our walk around the area.. We eat lunch at their food place there then after they enjoy their food and drink lots of pomegranate juice, they play in here.
Over here, we have to drive to Pittsburgh just so they could play at the play area in the mall especially on cold days where we can't play outside.
That's one thing I am missing too. Korea is pretty good in taking care of their citizens, they provide place to exercise everywhere you go and there are always pretty place where you can go to.

Sky Watch

We had a pretty heavy rainstorm today. It was short but heavy. I've seen some trees that were pulled out from its roots on the side of the road. When it's raining, it's good to look at pictures like the one above doesn't it?

Wet

It is so wet outside because it has been raining all day over here. How about at your end? It is time to participate to watery Wednesday. The photo above was taken inside the PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh Zoo.

Landscape

I like this landscape at Hanover Park in PA, they have neat displays over there that both kids and adult will enjoy. Thank you for dropping by and leaving your comments!

Juicy Bonding

This is the first time that our daughter and son helped my Dad make tomato juice. Rylie has been bugging my Dad to make some tomato juice so he let them do it. You might have seen some photos at my wife's blog but those are taken later than this one.
Here's our diligent worker who always want to experiment on things.
She absolutely love Dad because he let her do whatever she wants in the kitchen.
I am happy to see that our kids have a great bonding with my father, they would surely remember this when Dad is not around anymore.
FUN is not complete without our very "Makulit's" (as my wife calls him) participation.
Have a good night everyone!

Making Out or Grooming?

Okay, looking at these photos, I want you guys to tell me what you're thinking.
The fella above was looking down at these two.
I am not sure if they're making out or grooming each other. You be the judge.... grins....
These two drew a lot of attention at Pittsburgh Zoo. What do you think?

Shadow Shot

This is a photo of our son that I haven't put in the frame yet. I put it on top of our China Vase with glass flowers then one morning, the sun was shining through it. I thought it's a great shadow source. Have a great weekend everyone!

Rhino

Mr. Rhino was nowhere to be found when we first arrived at the zoo in Pittsburgh so we moved on to see the elephants. As we were watching the spotted dogs, Mr. Rhino showed up but our camera can only zoom to optical 5x.
I think these hills are man-made but I am not sure. One thing for sure, it makes the rhino's place gorgeous.
Here he is hiding, I think he is camera shy hehehe.

Thanks for dropping by at our blogs, greatly appreciated it!

Starfish

A photo taken inside the PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh Zoo. The whole time we were watching these sea creatures our son keeps saying "Is Patrick there?" You know what I am talking about right? Patrick from Spongebob hehehe.

Proud to be a Military Veteran

Some people can't appreciate what we, men and women in uniform, does for our country. I am proud to say that I did served the military for 20 years. I have learned a lot in joining the service, that is why I am proud to be a Veteran and I am proud of my Uncle Paul (he died in Germany) and my Dad who both served the military during the WW2.
My school is honoring all the veterans who are are attending school so they gave us a shirt and will also give us an iPod next month. It's a nice feeling to be appreciated!
For those who continuously supports the military people, thank you!
For those who doesn't, try to appreciate their sacrifices! Have a nice day everyone!

Nostalgia # 22 - Blessing

They say that when a bird poops on you, it's a blessing. Do you believe in it? Let me tell you a little story about our church wedding. During the reception, we had to pull this cage with two doves in it. As I pull the rope, the dove laid a massive poop on me, right in my face lol. A month after the incident, my wife called me to deliver the great news, she finally got pregnant, yohoooo! Is it a coincidence? Whatever it was, we were ecstatic because we had been waiting for over a year for her to conceive but it never happened.
