Nostalgia # 5 - My Navy Mugs

My wife collects mugs, so I grabbed a few navy mugs for her. Before she came here in the States, she sent some of her mug collection in order to preserve it. Some of you might have seen some of it on her blog. (This is a repost again.. I know I am bad with this lol). But I love this post because it brings so much memories when I was still in the Navy.

The one on the left is the Lone Sailor and on the right it's a Navy Recruiting District Pittsburgh.

The mugs flanking our DMZ barbwire are from the USS Frank Cable (AS-40), frosted beer mug on the left and a royal blue coffee mug on the right.

The beer mugs flanking my Republic of Korea Turtle ship are the 2009 Navy Ball on the left and a Navy Recruiting District Pittsburgh on the right.

Here I have five Republic of Korea Navy tea cups, each with a different ship from the ROK navy.

It is so nice to have some personalized mugs because it brings back memories and it also tells different stories. Do you collect mugs too?

Nice set of mugs, especially the Steelers motif. We pick up mugs wherever we vacation, even the cheesy ones always retain their sentimental value and coffee in the AM requires a mug. Nice!

I don't collect mugs, but I have a few that I'm quite fond of.

Interesting shots. I might try that, if I can catch some sun.

Cheers!
